I am a native of Mesa, Arizona and I graduated from Mesa High in 2003. I went to college in Virginia and received my degree in liberal arts from Southern Virginia University in 2007. My education is broad, and I have extensive knowledge in a variety of academic areas including but not limited to history, English, philosophy, music, and art. I am an avid reader and love to impart this love of reading and of great works of literature to others. I have played the viola for fifteen years, and I have experience teaching the basics of playing both the viola and the violin. I enjoy art, as a spectator and as an artist myself. I have spent time as a volunteer art teacher. I find nothing more fulfilling than sharing my enthusiasm for learning with others. As a teacher and as a tutor, I am goal-oriented. I make plans and set goals with those that I tutor so that there is a clear understanding of what is to be achieved. I expect much from those that I tutor only because I expect much from myself. All in all, I believe learning can be rewarding, but it can also be fun.
