The first step in finding a great tutor on WyzAnt is to do a
search. On the homepage, use the blue search box to search by subject, zip
code and distance. There are also options that allow you to search by rate, age,
gender and multiple subjects.
Review Tutors
The search results contain a photo, a short description of the tutor, the tutor’s
location and price per hour. When you click on a tutor, you’ll see the tutor’s full
profile. Here you can view the tutor’s complete bio, lesson ratings, background
check status, customer feedback and a typical weekly schedule. At the bottom of
the page, there’s an email form that allows you to contact the tutor directly.
Email Tutors Securely
Contact as many tutors as you like in order to get all your questions answered and
to make sure you find the perfect fit. Your privacy is protected and WyzAnt will
never reveal your full name or your email address to the tutor. At the bottom of
the email form, there’s an option to “Please have other tutors contact me.” Checking
this box will notify other tutors in your area who are qualified in the subject
you’ve selected, and up to five tutors may contact you.
Timely Responses
WyzAnt goes to great lengths to ensure that all tutors listed on the site are readily
available and will respond quickly to your inquiry. Most of the time, you’ll hear
back that same day.
Safely Start Lessons
Before starting lessons, you can run background checks and review feedback and ratings
from past students. Be sure to schedule your first meeting in a public place and
have an adult present if the student is under the age of eighteen.
