When does the scholarship application process begin and end?
Applications may be submitted between
12:00 AM Central Time on September 10, 2012
and
11:59 PM Central Time on May 1, 2013. Twenty (20) top ranking
essays will advance to the second round which runs between
12:00 AM Central Time on May 6, 2013
and
12:00 AM Central Time on June 7, 2013. Three (3) scholarship recipients
will be notified by email on or about
June 12, 2013.
What is the essay about?
In English, compose an essay of 300 words or less that answers the question: "How
will you use your education to make an impact on others?"
Who is eligible to apply?
Anyone who plans to be enrolled in a four year college or university sometime between
August 1, 2013 and November 1, 2015 is encouraged to apply. This includes most high
school sophomores through college juniors.
Who is eligible to judge?
Any site visitor may vote for essays in the first round. Current tutors on WyzAnt are
eligible to judge during the second round.
When does the first round begin and end? How are essays judged in the first round?
The first round begins at
12:00 AM Central Time on September 10, 2012
and ends at
11:59 PM Central Time on May 1, 2013. Essays are judged in the first round
by site visitors. The top ten (10) essays that receive the most votes by site visitors
will advance to the second round. An additional ten (10) essays will be selected
by WyzAnt staff.

WyzAnt offers many technology tools to help you tap into your email and social networks
to promote your essay.
When does the second round begin and end? How are essays judged in the second round?
The second round begins at
12:00 AM Central Time on May 6, 2013
and ends at
12:00 AM Central Time on June 7, 2013. Second round essays are
judged by current tutors on WyzAnt.
How is my personal information used?
A minimum amount of personal information is needed to verify your submission and
provide WyzAnt with a means of contact should you become a scholarship recipient.
This personal information is used for our internal records only and we will not
share your personal information with any third-parties.
What scholarship awards are available? How do I redeem a scholarship?
Based on the results of the second round judging process, first place will receive
a $10,000 college scholarship, second place will receive a $3,000 college scholarship,
and third place will receive a $2,000 scholarship. Each scholarship will be paid
directly to the scholarship recipient's college or university.
