Interestingly enough, many students struggle when it comes to using the Order of Operations to solve a chain-like math problem. Keep in mind to use the acronym Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sallie. I have found this to help some students, but many will still struggle. Always complete parentheses (P), exponents (E), multiplication (M), division (D), addition (A), and subtraction (S). For multiplication and division and addition and subtraction, always perform the operations from left to right. I am interested to know from you students, what is the struggle when trying to apply this concept. After trying a few exercises, please advise and allow me to help you.
