WyzAnt's poll asks tutors to think about how to incorporate technology into tutoring. Although I do all of my tutoring in-person, with paper, I have found bringing a computer along useful for one SAT learning experience: vocab! Instead of giving a student a word's definition, I sometimes have them Google the word. We read the first five entries together (which, hopefully, show the word in different contexts!), and then I ask the student what he or she thinks that the word means, based on those sentences. It's a great way to make you think about vocab, and to make sure that the words actually stick!
