Geometry - Area of a Circle - Difference between RADIUS and DIAMETER

Area = Pi (r^2) where r is the radius

REMEMBER - Radius is from the center of the circle to the circle's edge.  the DIAMETER is edge to edge with the line going through the radius.    DIAMETER is TWICE the length of the RADIUS. or 2r where r is the radius of the circle.
