1. The domain of a function is the set of all possible values of "x"
2. For y = √x the domain is all x ≥ 0
3. If you divide or multiply both sides of inequality by negative number, you have to "switch" the sign of inequality to opposite.

y = √(1-4x) ----> 1 - 4x ≥ 0...(2) ----> -4x -1 ----> (-4x)/(-4) -1/(-4) ...(3)
----> x ≤ 1/4 . The domain is ( -∞ , 1/4 ]
