You must develop a hypothesis, but then, reverse it, also known as the "null hypothesis."

Ex.

H0: If I change the batteries in my flashlight, it will work.

Ha: If I change the batteries in my flashlight, it won't work.

Or, since the remainder of the question deals with probability:

H0: If I roll this die, it will land on one.

Ha: If I roll this die, it will not land on one.

So, you'll want to calculate your confidence interval and determine whether or not to include the null hypothesis data (how many times 3 did not come up) in the results. If you reject the null hypothesis results, the test is two-sided, or two-tailed (regarding
