A line that is parallel to the line y = x - 6 will have the same slope. Since the slope-intercept form is y = mx+b, by inspection, it appears that
m = 1

Now, we use the point-slope formula,
y - y1 = m (x - x1)
since we have the slope and a point on the other line:

y - 2 = 1 (x - (-3))

y - 2 = x + 3

y = x + 5
