How to simplify x^12/x^-3

Remember when you multiply the same variable by itself, you add the exponents and when you divide you subtract the exponents.
 
This problem is division so it would be X12- (-3)  which becomes X^12+3 which gives an answer of  X^ 15

This can be rewritten as;
 
x12 ÷ x-3
 
remember that xa ÷ xb is the same as x(a-b)
 
so we'd have;
 
x(12-(-3))
 
which becomes;
 
x(12 + 3)
 
which gives;
