[5x/(x-1)2]+[35/(x-1)]
First, let's take the second part...
[35/(x-1)]
Let's multiply this by...
(x-1)/(x-1)
[35/(x-1)][(x-1)/(x-1)]
[35(x-1)]/(x-1)2
{5x/(x-1)2}+{[35(x-1)]/(x-1)2}
Both expressions now have the same denominators...
[5x+35(x-1)]/(x-1)2
Let's work with the numerator...
5x+35(x-1)
Let's distribute...
5x+35x-35
40x-35
The result of everything is...
