We have formula y = kx and value of two variables k = - 69/7  x = 6 .
Now, let's plug them in to formula of direct variation:

y = (- 69/7) * 6

            69      6
 y = − ----- • ----
            7        1

y = - 414/7 ≈ - 59.143
