This can also be represented as...
(x8/2y)(5y2/x3)
Let's consider x8/x.  8-3=5  This is now x5
(x5/2y)(5y2)
Let's consider (1/y)(y2).  y is y.  Therefore 2-1=1  This is now y.
(x5/2)(5y)
(5x5y)/2
or
(2.5)(x5y)
