how do I write the following problem as equation? z divided by 3/4 = 4 1/4

Let me explain:
 
1) IS THE DENOMINATOR [3/4] :                   [Z]/[3/4] = [4  1/4]
 
if this is the case, then the rule is as follows:
 
If the denominator is a FRACTION of the form A/B, as is SHOWN ABOVE(OUR A/B IS 3/4) then the following expression is the same:
 
(Z) * (4/3) = (4 1/4)
 
PLEASE NOTICE THAT THE DENOMINATOR, [3/4], Has been flipped(or reciprocated) and THEN multiplied by Z.
 
IS THIS WHAT YOU WANT SOLVED?

you now have (4Z/3) = (4 1/4)

re-writing (4Z/3) = (17/4)
 
 
 
  1. Multiply both sides by 3.  This yields 4z = [51/4]
