1.  First, note that "product" refers to "multiplication"
2.  Set up the equation
         (7/8)(4/21) = ?
3.  Multiply the numerators and then multiply the denominators together
         (7)(4)/(8)(21) = 28/168
4.  Reduce the fraction buy factoring out (and thus cancelling) the greatest common factor (GCF)
         (28)/(168) = (28)(1)/(28)(6)
5.  The GCF, 28, cancels (as 28/28 is 1) and the resulting fraction is your answer
         1/6
Hi Chris;
SINCE I LAST POSTED THIS, I REALIZED I MADE A MISTAKE.  PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR THE CORRECT SOLUTION.  I APOLOGIZE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

7/8  x  4/21

(7x4)/(8x21)=28/168

Let's divide the top and bottom by 7...
(28/7)/(168/7)=4/24

Let's divide the top and bottom by 4...
1/6
