We have 3.5 year old triplet girls. We are a media-free household (no television, DVD's, computers or iPad's). We read to our girls all the time and they love it. Due to THEIR desire and interest to learn to read, we've been working on letters and sounds. They're beginning to read simple words and sentences. We've been using a phonetics and flash cards-based approach.
We want to continue this but with professional help for one hour (about 20 minutes with each girl), one to two afternoons a week from 4 PM to 5PM. We are open to different days during the week (except Thursdays) but the 4 pm time is best for us.
We're looking for an experienced pre-school or homeschool teacher or reading tutor who has helped 3-6 year olds learn how to read and write AND who has a specific reading program that s/he follows.
