12 + x + 2 + 2x  is the same as 14 + 3x

If you're trying to simplify the problem, you're done!

 

You could graph this binomial and you'll get a line with a y-intercept of 14 and a slope of 3.

Ashley...are these two problems: Example: Problem 1) 12 + x + 2 + 2x = Some value and Problem 2) 14 + 3x = some value or is it 12 + 2 + 2x = 14 + 3x and solve for x. Which is it...problems will come up with difference answers
