1 Answer

When an equation is in the slope intercept form, y = mx + b, then m is the slope. Lines with the same slope are parallel (or maybe the same line.)

y = (1/4)x + 2; the slope is 1/4

y=4; (same as y= 0x +2; the slope is 0

y=4x; the slope is 4

y=(1/4)x; the slope is 1/4

Which two are the same?
