You have to distribute 1/5 into (9y+2) and distribute 1/10 into (2y-1).

You end up with 9y/5+2/5 + 2y/10-1/10

simplify 2y/10: 9y/5+2/5 + 1y/5-1/10

combine like terms 10y/5 + 2/5-1/10

You can subtract 2/5-1/10 but first you have to change the denominator: 10y/5 +  4/10-1/10

10y/5+3/10

Simplify: 2y+3/10
