What you need to do is combine "like terms" or numbers with similar variables (letters)

So combine all of the x's, y's, and numbers with out letters.

an easy way to do this is combine the like terms in parentheses like this:

(4x+18x) + (10y-14y) + (3-2) =

(22x) + (-4y) + (1) =

22x - 4y + 1 =

There you go
