I am trying to figure out the percentage of Lost Time Injuries using OSHA's standard 200,000 (100 people x 40 hrs x 50 wks = 200,000). We have 143 people x 40 hrs x 50 wks = 286,000 hrs worked. So if there is 1 injury the equation is 1x200,000 / 286,000 = 0.6993 Now would I take .699 / 200,000 = x / 100 to get our percent?
.699/200,000 = x/100

.699 / 200,000 = 3.495 x 10-6 = (3.495 x 10-4)/100
So, x = 3.495 x 10-4
