Use your order of Operations to solve

- Parentheses
- Exponents
- Multiplication and Division, Left to Right
- Addition and subtraction, Left to Right.

So, the inner most parentheses we have is (42 - 32), which gives us 10:

3[14 ÷ 10 - 5]

Division is of higher precedence than subtraction, so next we determine 14 ÷ 10 and get

3[1.4 - 5]

Subtraction within the brackets is next:

3 [-3.6]

And now, with only a constant inside the brackets, multiply:

3 * [-3.6] = -10.8
