Use a conversion factor:  M(minutes)X 1hr/60minutes = number of hours because minutes cancel out.

For this example, let's convert 6000 ft into miles

You can multiply any number by 1 and not alter the equality.  Since 1  mile = 5280 ft, it follows that 1mile/5280 ft =1.  Therefore, in the equation below, the units of feet cancel out and you are left with miles:

6000 ft      |     1 mile      = 6000/5280 mile = 1.136 mile

                  |   5280 ft

there are 60 min in a hour so it would be 1/60

Hint: Think of how many hours in 1 minute and then multiply by m. The number of hours in 1 minute will be be a fraction. What fraction of an hour is 1 minute? (then multiply by m)
