Spanish is my passion in life and I want to help others discover how amazing it is to learn a foreign language! I have traveled extensively through Central and South America, Spain and Mexico and have lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Santiago Atitlán, Guatemala. In turn, I am able to teach not only the language but also about the cultures of many countries in the Spanish-speaking world.
I am not a native speaker of Spanish so I am familiar with the struggles of studying a foreign language. Unlocking the secrets of a language is a gift that can be extremely beneficial in life. It can open a lot of doors and be the catalyst to a lot of fantastic opportunities. Many students realize this fact and I strive to help them expand on their goals. I like to incorporate many of my relevant travel stories to inspire the travel bug in students because I believe Spanish language acquisition is helped immensely through immersion in a Spanish-speaking country. Also, becoming a global citizen and seeing the world is important in life. I think more than anything, my enthusiasm for Spanish and the Spanish-speaking world will inspire the student and help them advance in the wonderful, beautiful language of Spanish!
