Jennifer-Math, English, Psychology, and SAT prep

I am a 19-year-old undergraduate working on my degree in Elementary Education. It is true that I have never professionally tutored before, but I am excited to start doing so. Teaching means everything to me; to have the opportunity to help change someone's life for the better is what I strive for, and the reason I'm majoring in education. The subjects and students that I feel most comfortable tutoring are those at a high school level, since I am just beginning my college career.

Having had quite a few courses in psychology in both high school and college, I have learned the different methods and techniques that people use to learn and which of those work best in each individual case. I will work with the student for however long it takes until we are both satisfied that my services are no longer needed, and be available as often as I can.

Algebra 1

This subject focuses on solving linear equations and inequalities, and using graphical representations such as tables and graphs. My experience is Honors Algebra I high school course.

Algebra 2

This subject continues to focus on the solving of linear equations and inequalities. New mathematical situations are also introduced such as matrices. My experience is Honors Algebra II high school course.

Vocabulary

This subject focuses on the definition, spelling, and use of words ranging from those that are simple to those more complex. My highest experience level is high school vocabulary.

Reading

This subject focuses on actual reading, comprehension of what has been read, and retention of the information. My experience goes up to the high school reading level and those below it.

Statistics

This subject focuses on making inferences based on data including conducting studies and experiments and exploring probability. My highest experience level is AP Statistics.

Psychology

This subject focuses on the exploring of the human brain, creating studies and experiments, and making conclusions. My highest experience level is high school psychology.

Proofreading

This subject focuses on the editing of written work, primarily papers and essays. My highest experience level is college expository essay class.
