I am a high school Math and Latin teacher because I love both subjects. I majored in math from the beginning, and now after teaching high school, I know the progression from Algebra 2 to Pre-Calc to AP Calculus backwards and forwards, and really enjoy making these very abstract subjects understandable.

I've also studied/taught Latin for 10 years. I love the language, am fluent in writing and reading it, and am thoroughly familiar with both classical and ecclesiastical texts.

While I have several other interests, these two subjects are my passion, and having taught both at the high school level, I know for certain that I can explain them clearly to students.

Calculus

I teach Calculus at three levels (regular and both AP levels) and have tutored my own students for countless hours after school. I have a pretty comprehensive knowledge of the AP Calculus exams, and so am willing and able either to prepare students especially for those exams, or to help them with other non-AP subject matter in Calc.

Precalculus

I teach the entire Algebra-Precalc-Calc progression in high school, so by now I know completely the topics leading into Precalc and the topics for which Precalc will be important later on. I have taught and tutored Precalc for years, so I know the typical syllabus extremely well, and enjoy making it less complicated and intimidating for my students.

Latin

I have loved and studied Latin for the past 11 years, and have taught it for 3. I teach everything from Beginning Latin to AP Latin. By now I am extremely familiar with both Classical and Medieval Latin, and can provide any help needed in translating to or from Latin, along with grammar, syntax, vocabulary, or morphology.
