I am a university graduate with a degree in Education from Lima, Peru, after growing up in the Amazon basin of Peru. I have ten years of experience as a teacher. Spanish is my first language; English my second. I also have ten years of experience in organizational leadership, and have traveled widely internationally. While now living in SE Wisconsin, I also spend some time each year in countries like my native Peru, Ecuador and Argentina. I love teaching, individually, in small groups, as well as in classroom settings.
My tutoring methods begin by discussing with each student their desired level of proficiency, assessing the student's current level of Spanish acquisition, and designing an individualized course of study, given their goals, whether for school, business or tourism. We will begin with conversational Spanish and listening skills, and include classwork with vocabulary, grammar, and writing as each student desires.
