I am a third year computer science major studying at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. I am interested in teaching elementary to high school levels of the subjects noted on my profile.
My academic strengths are in mathematics, particularly logic and algebra. I have taken two logic-based college level courses and deal with algebra-level math on a daily basis in my computer science related studies. I also have a strong grasp of English writing and grammar, as well as several years of music theory and performance study. I studied music theory for two years in high school, and my first year of university study was as a music performance major at Belmont University.
I have experience tutoring for friends and family, such as teaching my younger sister basic music theory and assisting one of my friends with understanding calculus. My approach in tutoring is to assist only a step at a time, so that students recognize where they are having trouble, focus on that area, and rectify the problem.
