Hello.
I am proud to be a statistics geek. I like to show students that numbers aren't as intimidating as they seem. I finished college at Penn State last year with a statistics major for my Bachelor's and Master's degrees. During my last 5 semesters, I worked for the statistics department as a grader and lab intern for Intro to Statistics and during my last semester, I worked as a teaching assistant for a 400-level regression class. I learned how to explain many statistical concepts in ways that the professor didn't consider, but students could comprehend. I love statistics, but also enjoy teaching other branches of math. I think that every student has the ability to understand statistics and math; we just have to find the right key to unlock the connection between what is being taught and what is being learned.
