My name is Clark. I have been working in the math field in the state of Wisconsin for 26 years as a math tutor. I received my Bachelor of Science degree with a major in math from Saginaw Valley State University located in University Center, Michigan.
During my first 23 years as a math tutor, I was employed at the One-On-One Learning Center of Alverno College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This learning center was a community outreach program that served students from Milwaukee County and nearby counties with academic assistance in the areas of reading, math, English, and study skills. At this learning center, I worked with middle school, high school, and college/adult students in various areas of math. The math courses that I been involved with are courses in prealgebra, Algebra I, geometry, Algebra II, trigonometry, precalculus, and calculus. I have even worked with high school students in math as preparation for any upcoming ACT and SAT tests that they may have.
Since the One-On-One Learning Center closed, I have continued working as private math tutor. I have had a 90% success rate with the students that I have tutored. In fact, nearly all of my students regard me as the best math tutor that they have ever had. Some of the comments from my students include the ability to teach the material in a "down to earth" manner instead of the way the textbook and the instructor present the material. Also, many of my students have felt that I have a greater knowledge of the math concepts as opposed to their actual teacher. I am a quiet person, not an aggressive or a loud person. I would like to get to know as many students as possible.
