I have worked as a teacher of both regular and special needs students from ages 3 to adult. My specialty is thinking outside the box. My students and I are able to work together and successfully complete homework or study for tests, but more importantly, I am able to work with students that need one on one instruction.

Sometimes the regular classroom has moved too quickly for a student to comprehend, or he/she needs a review at a slower pace. Does that sound like your child? Well, I am here to help! Though licensed in all areas of teaching, I have received special training in Reading and Learning Disabilities. I am both a Reading Teacher and Specialist, which means I can help your student in vocabulary, comprehension, detailing, and fluency in all subject areas, not just reading.

Reading

I have my licenses in reading teacher and reading specialist. I also hold a Masters Degree in Reading and difficulties concerning the instruction of reading skills and strategies. I am able to bring success to struggling readers, through patience and an approach that thinks outside the box. Please call so we can work together.

I have taught ESL for 2 years through MATC. My students learned their English and were able to get. jobs, communicate, and be understood.

Elementary (K-6th)

I have worked as both a classroom teacher and specialist in grades K-6. I hold my State of Wisconsin teachers license in those areas along with advanced degrees. As a Reading Specialist I have been trained at the graduate level on how to creatively help students who need to learn the skills necessary for success.

Phonics

I have my Reading Teacher and Reading Specialist Licenses. To earn these, I had to take 12 credits in early reading which included a concentration in phonics.

Study Skills

I have taught study skills to grade school and high school students and worked at a tutoring agency teaching them for 12 years. I have my license through the state of Wisconsin in Special ED., reading, and a Masters in Reading and another in Learning Disabilities. I also hold my license in education.

Religion

I have attended parochial grade, high, and college schools. In addition I have both attended adult Bible class and taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible Class, and Bible Class. I have been a member of the church missionary league and participated in whole church Bible readings. This has been for my entire life. My children have all attended parochial schools and I have helped them with projects and their lessons. I am very qualified.

Bible Studies

I am an active member in my Lutheran church, and have taught Sunday and vacation bible school. I also attended Concordia Lutheran college and Marquette Catholic University where I took religion courses.

ADD/ADHD

I have a masters degree in special education and am certified with a license from the state. My experience includes ten years of experience working with students from K to grade 12 who have been diagnosed as having ADD/ADHD. Through understanding and patience, I am able to help these children be successful in school.

Aspergers

I am certified special education teacher. I hold my license in special education and learning disabilities through the department of instruction in Wisconsin.

Dyslexia

I have earned my master's degree in special education and taught 3 years with special needs/ dyslexic children.

You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
