I received my Bachelor's Degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato in Elementary Education. In the past few years, I have worked in a couple of different positions. I have spent most of my time working with upper elementary students. Currently, I teach 5th grade. Even though my time teaching in a classroom has been focused with upper elementary age children, I have much experience working with students of many different ages. I will not agree to teach when I do not have a firm grasp of concepts myself. Please contact me if you are interested and tell me the subject you or your child needs help with. If it is a subject I am familiar with, I would love to help! I believe that every student has his or her own strengths, needs and interests. Tutoring allows me to help students reach their full potential because I can teach to their specific needs and interests. Students really retain what they learn when what they are faced with seems relevant. I try to help students see the "real life" connections to what they learn. I truly enjoy helping students realize their what they are capable of learning and doing. I very much enjoy making a connection with the students I teach; tutoring gives me the ability to do that.
