Throughout my education, I have always had a love for the math and sciences. I've gone through awesome teachers and really crappy teachers, and I know how difficult it can be to learn the difficult subjects of science and math, especially when you have trouble getting excited about the subject. I've been helping and tutoring classmates and friends in these subjects since high school. I'm a firm believer that there is no one who can't understand a subject if it's taught properly.

I want to make sure that the students that I teach actually learn the subject. If the student is not learning or satisfied with their tutoring experience within the first few sessions, they will not have to pay for those sessions. I love teaching, and I love finding new ways to explain concepts to give several perspectives and find the best method of teaching a particular student. I will always try to teach at a level appropriate for the student's level of knowledge in the subject.

I've had opportunities to tutor people from many areas and levels of education. I've tutored students in college, high school, middle school, and I've even helped give home schooling chemistry lessons. So far, all those whom I've tutored have been happy with the help I've given, and have been able to better understand concepts and do well in their courses.

The reason I teach is not for the money, I teach because I love the subject, and I want others to learn and understand it better. Science is often painted as a very dry, difficult and boring subject and as a result, many students are very frustrated and find it difficult to learn. As I teach, I will try to make the subject as painless as possible and hopefully I can inspire a little bit of the excitement I feel about the subject in the student.

I look forward to teaching and tutoring you and would love to hear your feedback! I know how difficult classes can be and I wish you the best of luck in all of your studies!

ACT Math, ACT Science, SAT Math

Algebra 1

I have completed math courses through Calculus III, with algebra among the classes taken. Also, I used algebra extensively in chemistry classes as I obtained my Bachelor's in Chemistry.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Portland State University and spent nearly a year there working in synthetic chemistry research.

I have taken algebra, geometry and math classes up to calculus III in college and I still tutor many students in these subjects.

Organic Chemistry

I have a Bachelor's in Chemistry from Portland State University and have completed all organic chemistry courses up through the advanced organic series. I took the ACS exam for organic chemistry when I completed my Associate's and scored in the 98th percentile. I have helped and tutored classmates in organic chemistry throughout my time taking the courses.

As a prerequisite to my Bachelor's in Chemistry, I completed one year of engineering physics and calculus. I absolutely loved the courses and I am able to tutor and help in physics subjects up through that level.
