I believe in an emphasis on individualized learning. Traditional teaching methods do not work for everyone. The best tutoring occurs when the tutor and the student can develop methods that are best for them. My focus is on patient, student-centered studies that take in to consideration the right setting, the best methods, and each student's unique needs.
My teaching background is primarily in writing/composition, reading, traditional/digital art, and long term learning skill development. I have experience tutoring and mentoring in various professional settings, and am actively pursuing my degree and certification in K-12 Special Education. My long term goals are to specialize in art therapy for communication disabilities and those functioning within the ASD spectrum. I attended two years at the University of Washington in Tacoma, and currently attend Western Governor's University to complete my BA and certification in K-12 Special Education.
