Having grown up with para-educators in my family, I was exposed to many different forms of teaching methods and ways to deal with various situations. While I do not have all of the answers, I am usually a great source of help. I helped operate and maintain "Special Kids" Daycare while it was still in business, starting from a young age as it was based out of my home. This daycare taught and/or cared for children with and without special needs. Also, Having been diagnosed with ADHD at a young age(as well as being under observation for possibly having Aspergers), and being dyslexic, I have much more patience with both children and adults who have the same needs as I do when it comes to learning. I am incredibly well rounded when it comes to what I can tutor. I've tutored informally for most of my life, even before I realized that was what I was doing, and for a year I have been the "math tutor (who can help with just about anything you come in with)" at Bates Technical College. So far I've never had a complaint about my methods, or had a student who didn't understand my help. In fact, many teachers have sought me out to give me praise for students who haven't been understanding their lectures or able to follow the curriculum, after coming in to me sometimes just for a day, being at least caught up. All subjects on my lists are things I have studied extensively and/or tutored before.
