I am an experienced tutor with a world of knowledge in all aspects of academia, career planning, academic planning, etc. In the past, I've helped students achieve more and helped parents plan better for their child's future. I can conduct small group tutoring of two to six students for a discounted rate, prepare an entire lesson plan for an academic year or provide short term help so a student can catch up in a specific subject area.

I can teach you everything you need to know about the military's ASVAB test. If you need help with this test, we can negotiate a package rate for your needs.

My military experience has helped me adapt to many situations. I may not be the right tutor for your needs. However, I would like an opportunity to see if I can accommodate your needs. I am flexible with the rate based on our agreement.

I have a cancellation policy of 1 hour. If a student or parent on behalf of a student schedules an appointment and does not cancel 1 hour prior to the scheduled lesson, the responsible party will be billed for 1 hour.

Microsoft Word

Between my civilian and military work, I've become very familiar with MS Word. I also use it everyday for my own college (PhD) education. I can help with formatting, general usage or advanced presentations.

Microsoft PowerPoint

Between my civilian and military work, I've become very familiar with MS Powerpoint and the many features available to create a professional presentation. I have used this tool many times to create great presentations for both business and military functions.

Prealgebra

I teach math at a vocational school and I tutor students in higher levels of math. I also have worked with children so I can help students from 5-85 years old.

English

I have a masters degree in business administration and I have been writing papers for college for many years. I have helped service members improve their reading comprehension and word knowledge. I've also worked with children as young as 5 and adults well into their 50's.

Proofreading

I teach writing at a vocational school and I teach students how to properly edit the work they turn in. I can help with online tools and resources that will help you learn to proofread your own work.

GMAT

I did very well on the GMAT exam and I have helped several students prepare for the exam as well. I can help with the math, reading and writing portion. In addition, I can help with test taking strategies and most importantly, improving confidence in students who need it!

ASVAB

I am a military instructor and I teach the math and reading comprehension, work knowledge portions of the ASVAB to service members. I have achieved great success with my work in the Army.

Elementary Math

I teach college level math at a vocational school. I have also taught high school level math to service members. Between my math experience and my work with children, I can help your child improve their math ability.

Elementary (K-6th)

I have spent over 1000 hours with children teaching primarily reading and math. I earned a Masters Degree in Business and can help young students with basic subjects with ease, patience and encouragement.

Phonics

I have spent over 1000 hours with my own children, volunteering at a pre-school and an elementary school helping children with the finer points of phonics.

Study Skills

I am currently studying for my PhD and utilize different techniques to maintain organization, organize assignments and employ time management skills to enhance my chances of success.

ESL/ESOL

I have visited 12 different nations as a Soldier in the US Army. Though I understood very little of the host nation language, I was able to teach components of the English language to host nation personnel thru a combination of hand signals, visual aids and a translation dictionary.

Business

I have an MBA and have worked in many management positions in the transportation industry as well as the military.

Business is a large field with many sub-components. The rate for the specific service asked for will be negotiated at the time of an agreement. However, the rate will never exceed $50 per hour.

Public Speaking

Throughout college, in the Army and in the business world, I have executed over 500 presentations which involved a combination of public speaking combined with utilization of visual aids.

Career Development

My Career Development experience is derived from over 15 years helping young service members plan a military career or successful transition to the civilian sector.

College Counseling

As a lifelong learner and leader in the United States Army, I have learned to navigate the vast amount of information available to new students.

For this service, there will be reduced rate.

ADD/ADHD

I have worked with my nephew who has severe ADHD. He is currently a successful senior in high school and will complete high school this year. It takes a lot of patience but I have worked with him and shared his success.
