Buongiorno Signore e Signori,
My name is Alessio and I come from the Eternal City. I have been living in Seattle for two years now and during this time I had the chance to study and teach Italian and Roman history at the University of Washington, where I obtained my MA in Italian Studies last June.
I have always enjoyed teaching my language and helping foreigners to get to know better and deeper my beautiful culture. In two years working as a TA at UW, I taught different levels of Italian (elementary, intermediate and advanced) and I also tutored in conversational Italian, focusing on specific subjects like politics, history, folklore and arts. I have also been working as a professional free-lance translator (from English into Italian) for 13 years, with more than 50 books published.
If you would like to start learning Italian from scratch, or just get a smattering of it to survive during your next trip to Italy and be able to order more than just pizza or pasta, or improve your conversational skills, or even study it because you want to read the original version of the Divine Comedy, just contact me and I will be pleased to help you reach your goal!
