Hello everyone! I am excited and ready to share my expertise and undiminished enthusiasm for education, coaching, consulting, and overall inspired commitment and support for each of my client's efforts to achieve their goals, dreams, and ultimate success.

If you are a middle or high school student, at college, or a professional who would have a need for my particular expertise and skills, I would be happy to work with you as a teacher, coach, or consultant.

International interests: I would welcome inquiries from international students, researchers, and/or professionals who need assistance with English comprehension, proofreading of their written work, English pronunciation, accent reduction, and coaching on delivering verbal articulations of projects underway, or making research-based presentations to peers and colleagues. My extensive background and participation in world cultures, both academic and personal (I have traveled and lived in many parts of the world), has allowed me to develop a sensitivity and deep cultural respect that I bring to my language coaching and multicultural competency counseling of students and colleagues within diverse educational or organizational settings.

I have followed the following two parallel tracks over the past over twenty years, and have sustained a high level of interest and active engagement with both.

Academics and teaching: I hold an M.A. in History, with a focus on Comparative World History. I have taught upper and lower division college courses in the History of World Religions for over 10 years. For almost two decades I have immersed myself in Sufism and the Zen traditions of Buddhism, both in terms of study and practice. For that same period of time I have also been involved both professionally and personally with indigenous Native American cultural and spiritual traditions.

Additionally, I hold a PhD in Jungian Depth Psychology and, as such, have broadened and deepened my academic and personal interests in this area of human endeavor. Such expansive subject areas are, by natural extension, cross-disciplined and cover the subject areas I include in my tutoring/teaching interests listed below: Anthropology, World Literature and Classics, Film, Psychology, etc.

Skills and expertise in this field include:
I can help you with your public speaking and teaching skills; writing research papers, presentations, etc.; reading comprehension, critical thinking and textual analysis; proofreading and editing; and individualized instructional and motivational support for at-risk students.

Student Services Program Administration:
In addition to my teaching, I have over fifteen years of administering student academic and ancillary support programs through the university system at the high school, college and postgraduate levels, with a specialization in working with historically underrepresented and at-risk students. Skill sets and expertise I have developed and honed over these years in this area include:

Direct student support
I can offer Academic Planning, Career, and Admissions and Financial Aid Advising; College Readiness, College Choices, Study Skills, Professional Skills Development, Service Learning, and Leadership Training.

Consulting
I can work with you on strategic planning, program design, development, and implementation focusing on student engagement, retention and degree completion in particular for culturally diverse, underrepresented, and otherwise disadvantaged students; strategic planning, solution-driven problem solving, and management for educational and academic support programs with a strong focus on service learning and leadership development; specialization in start-up program development, assessment and evaluation; root-cause analysis of programs followed, if necessary, by strategic renovation and revitalization utilizing evidence-based best practices; establishing and sustaining a broad network of fully articulated, cross-functional campus, community, state, and national educational partnerships.
