I graduated in 2012 with a 3.6 GPA and a BS in Pharmacological Chemistry from UCSD. Please inquire if you would like to see my course curriculum or a copy of my transcript.
Rather than simply going over a lesson plan or regurgitating what the professor has already stated, I emphasize a brand of tutoring tailored to a person's individual learning style. Some students are auditory learners, some visual, and others need a lot of repetition by doing problems in order to master chemistry. By adapting to the learning style of the student, I will be able to teach a style to how the student is most receptive to.
As a tutor, it is my goal to first identify a student's learning style, and help the student find out how the individual student best learns and approaches chemistry. In my opinion, everyone can excel in chemistry, given that the student is able to optimize what works best for the particular student.
I am a patient tutor and I am always prepared for my next assignment or schoolwork. My tutoring background involves tutoring peers in high school/AP-level general chemistry. I have also volunteered to tutor grade 2-4 children in their mathematical studies.
I am offering such a low rate because truthfully, I have never tutored professionally. However, I have been on the same side of the fence as my potential students in that I have experienced struggle while trying to learn chemistry in high school. Because of this, I can offer a step-by-step logical approach to chemistry problem-solving as well as the principle and theory involved.
If you agree that the services of this enthusiastic tutor would help you or your student thrive in chemistry, please inquire.
