Vocabulary

I can help students build a strong vocabulary. By being a Latin and classics major, I have a deep grasp of the origins and roots of words. I can also help them build on words they my already know since I have a diverse knowledge of prefixes, suffixes, synonyms and antonyms.

Latin

I tutor all levels of Latin from basic syntax and grammar to complexed prose and poetry and composition. My strong points include classical and medieval grammar. I also have a nimble vocabulary, knowing a wealth of words, roots of words, synonyms and most origins from the old Latin to Church Latin.

Writing

I am a very effective and experienced writing teacher and tutor. I can help in areas ranging from simple grammatical errors to complex and complicated essay and composition construction, for school or professional assignments.

The most important thing is that I make the process fun and engaging. By being clear, precise and efficient, all students will see their writing skills drastically improve in just a few sessions.

English

As a writing tutor, I have developed a precise and effective use of the English language. I can teach someone to write and speak clearly and succinctly.
I can aid a student to grasp a better understanding of syntax, sentence structure and vocabulary.
After a few sessions, the student will see his or her writing improve, compositions and essays will be more focused, orderly and clear.
