I'm a very experienced, almost ten years, multi-discipline tutor. I've taught as a lecturer at many different colleges and universities and recently I've been focusing on tutoring for different private clients. My tutoring subjects have been varied over the years but I've kept up with many disciplines to help my students and clients achieve their goals. I'm very familiar with

My bachelor's degree is in Theatre Arts with concentrations in directing, scenic design and playwriting. I've taught some children's theatre classes for elementary age children, the most memorable for me using material I wrote specifically for the class. I've been a part of writing workshops giving feedback to other aspiring playwrights.

I've also taught and had classes in History and Debate. I've spent some time in personal tutoring sessions with candidates for speech competitions and have had favorable results. I have also tutored literature class summer reading books, structuring the discussion for understanding for the student and gaining a deeper meaning from the material, in many classics and reading list books.

Chinese

I studied Chinese for two years at Western Washington University before deciding to live and work in Shanghai, China. I lived in Shanghai for another nine years, practicing my Chinese regularly. I'm familiar with some different dialects, most notably Beijing and Shanghai dialects. I have an excellent working knowledge of the Chinese language including grammar rules and syntax. While I am not native level in any regard I still have the ability to help low level learners.
