I have many interests, experiences and talents which I am excited to leverage in teaching others.

First, my experience as an ESL teacher in China over the past six years has given me plentiful experience of different teaching methods, of best practices in teaching English--whether for ESL, SAT, or general English. That same experience has given me a broader knowledge and understanding of the world which I find helpful in making lessons on many topics more interesting and useful to students.

Second, I myself attained a high score in SAT reading (verbal) which helped me in my goal of attending the prestigious University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. I fully understand what the motivation and methods necessary for students to similarly achieve their academic goals.

Third, I have obtained a BFA degree from the University of Michigan, concentrating in the highly demanding subject of "scientific illustration" which requires the highest degree of accuracy in drawing/draftsmanship skills. I have also spent much time painting/drawing in Photoshop, creating illustrations commissioned for use in the gaming industry. I believe this qualifies me to tutor students who wish to improve their draftsmanship, painting and CGI skills.
