Bonjour / Aloha!

As a native Hawaiian with French-Polynesian origins, I have spoken and studied French since childhood. After living and studying in France during high school, I continued my language studies in college... graduating with a 3.98 GPA, a German minor, and nearly enough credits for a second Bachelor's degree - in Music!

After obtaining my TEFL (Teacher of English as a Foreign Language) certification in 2005 in Rome, Italy, I taught advanced-level French and ESL at a Seattle-area high school. I have worked in French-speaking positions at local companies such Amazon and Big Fish Games, and even worked at a French-immersion preschool, so I am great with the little ones!

Besides language, my greatest passion in life is music. I perform jazz, cabaret and classical music throughout the Seattle area - in a variety of languages! - and run a successful voice studio from my Magnolia home. As much as I love my work as a vocal coach, I am also interested in tutoring other subjects in my spare time, to kids and adults of all ages.

I am a native-level French speaker with over 25 years of study and work experience. I am a former Advanced French high school teacher with the "UW in the High Schools" program out of the University of Washington, providing high school students with college credit for advanced foreign language study. I held French-speaking positions with large gaming and high-tech companies including Big Fish Games and Amazon.

English

I am a TEFL-certified teacher of English as a Second Language; former Advanced TOEFL-prep teacher with emphasis on grammar and writing; freelance writer/blogger on a variety of music-related topics; high-level proofreading and editing skills in both English and French.

Voice (Music)

I have over 15 years of professional vocal instruction, band-leading, vocal arranging, and choir directing experience. I currently run a successful home-based music studio for students of voice, music theory, sight-singing, and basic piano/guitar for vocalists. I perform regularly throughout the greater Seattle region as a jazz, classical, and cabaret vocalist in a variety of languages and styles.

You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
