Dear Individual Looking for a Tutor,
I have a warm personality and people love to be around me, but I also know how to work hard and inspire others to do the same. I love learning and am lucky to have a thorough understanding of a variety of subjects. Furthermore, I have teaching experience as a substitute teacher in elementary school, junior high school and high school (which also includes an alternative high school). I have been a teacher's assistant for a college class and have experience helping students pursuing an undergraduate degree.
I graduated with my Associate's of Science degree at the same time I graduated with my high school diploma. I then went on to pursue a Bachelor's of Science in Biology from Brigham Young University. I love the sciences and would excel in tutoring for a number of science related classes including, general Biology, Ecology, Bioethics, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Human Anatomy, Physiology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Evolutionary Biology, Biological Anthropology, Astronomy and basic Physics. I would also be exceptionally good in tutoring for math classes such as, general math, Geometry, pre-Algebra, Algebra, Trigonometry and pre-Calculus.
Even though I completed both of my degrees in the sciences, I am a skilled writer and I read voraciously. I have always done well in Language Arts and would welcome the opportunity to tutor a student in English, reading, vocabulary and writing.
I understand everyone learns differently; what works for one child or teen doesn't necessarily work for another. I know positive reinforcement and patience and are vital components when helping a student to succeed, especially if the course material seems relatively easy and the student is still struggling. Nothing is more difficult then trying as hard as you can on a subject and still not getting anywhere, but nothing is more rewarding then finally understanding difficult material.
I would love for the opportunity to help your student and look forward to hearing from you.
