Having over 20 years in the field of Nature Photography, Adobe, Editing and Publishing, its very fun and exciting teaching students the "how to's", art of seeing through the lens and making sense of the technicals to do so.
I have learned many things over the years from teaching photography. Photography is both craft and art. Craft, is the f-stops and shutter speeds, understanding metering and just how you see translates into the image outcome. It is knowing how the camera, lens, sensor see differently than the human eye. Art is the seeing and feeling. Both are important, but it is the seeing and feeling which makes the difference.
I enjoy tutoring the stuff you can't experience from a book. The craft and art of photography, to get the most from your equipment and experience. I do my very best to simplify the language of digital.
