Greetings:

My name is Tim. I would love the opportunity to assist you in your Biblical Studies. Here are some things about me that might help you make your decision. My undergraduate degree is in Theatre and Speech from the University of Oregon. I have a Master of Divinity degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Included in these studies was coursework in Old and New Testament, Systematic Theology, Biblical Languages (Hebrew and Greek), Missions, Counseling, and Preaching. I have another Master's Degree from Biola University. This is in the field of Apologetics. Apologetics involves a defense of the faith including arguments for God's existence, the reliability of the Scriptures and defense of the resurrection.

I have been a pastor in two churches for a total of 11 years. I have also taught Bible related classes for 16 years at a Christian High School. In addition to this I have a considerable amount of public speaking experience. I also have directed close to 20 plays. I have also written 4 three act plays and 2 one act plays, all of which have been produced.
Although I have never worked as a professional in the field, I have a fair amount of experience with the following computer programs: Windows 3.1-7, all Office products except for Access, Adobe Acrobat, and Logos.

Microsoft PowerPoint

I have a long history with PowerPoint. I have experience with PowerPoint versions 2003-and after. I have used it to develop curriculum for all my classes. I can help a beginning user get started and competent in a very few lessons.

Theatre

I was a member of the National Thespian Society in high school and have a bachelor's degree in theatre from the University of Oregon. I have acted in numerous plays. I have written and produced four three act plays and two one act plays. I have directed over twenty plays. I can help a person learn the basics of acting, directing and play writing. I can also help someone with the history of the theatre.

Bible Studies

I have a Master of Divinity degree and a MA in Apologetics. I have taught biblical studies for over 20 years. I can do tutoring in Theology (Christian Doctrine), Apologetics (defense of the faith), Bible Survey, Life of Christ, Worldviews, Church History, and other biblically related subjects.

Public Speaking

I can help a person learn how to write a speech for almost any occasion. I can give them suggestions on how to combat "stage fright" and I can show them how to speak from a manuscript, note cards, or PowerPoint. I had three years of speech in high school and I minored in speech in college. In my graduate program I took several classes in speaking. I have an extensive background in public speaking.

Microsoft Outlook

I have been using MS Outlook for over 15 years. I have read several texts on how to use Outlook. I can help a beginner learn the basics of Outlook as in managing email, folders, calendar functions, tasks, contacts, distribution lists, rules, setting up meetings and other Outlook functions.

Microsoft Publisher

I have been using MS Publisher for over 20 years. I have extensive an background in every version of Publisher including Publisher in Office 2010. I have read several texts on how to use Publisher. I can help someone learn how to create a publication, add pages, text and graphics, tables and page numbers.
