If you are interested in learning music, let me help! I have 30 years experience in teaching music at various levels, from college to children's choir. Not only do I have the background, I have references, awards, lots of patience and continue to make music here in Washington. If you are interested in a well rounded musician with multiple musical talents (especially teaching), I am very interested in helping you reach your musical goals.

My background includes 30 years experience playing and teaching various styles of guitar, 5 years experience playing and teaching bass guitar, 30 years experience composing and performing original pieces (national and international playing of compositions), and 30 years of college teaching of music theory and ear training.

Music Theory is the study of how music put together. It's beginning stages focus on the foundations of theory: a thorough understanding of keys, intervals, time signatures, ranges of instruments, clefs, and harmony. After these foundations are introduced, the student may begin to analyze any number of interesting types of music, Baroque to Jazz, to further understand the chosen genre.

How do I receive a discount?

Save between 5 and 15% on tutoring by purchasing credit with one of our prepaid discount packages. You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
