As a professional musician, I am an experienced and highly qualified instrumental instructor. I have the care and skills needed to help my students both enjoy and excel at music making.
I posses university credentials from programs that remain amongst the best in music performance and education in the nation (BM-Boston University, 1999 and MA-Teachers College, Columbia University, 2002). These credentials are matched by 10 years of performance and teaching experience in New York and Seattle.
I am an experienced soloist, orchestral and lead player. Through these experiences I have had the time to develop a deep physical connection to my instruments. This connection informs my approach to instruction. My goal is to impart technique and knowledge that assists the student to break through physical barriers and achieve maximum musical expression, no matter what the style.
I teach all ages and approach the student from their starting point, no matter what that point may be. I look forward to working with new students in the area to build an exciting local program of practice and performance.
