Hello,

I was born and raised in Japan to bicultural parents, attended high school there and have graduated from a college in California. I came back from Tokyo in 2007 for good, after staying there for almost 20 years. Considering the length of time I've spent in both US and Japan, I consider myself a true bilingual/bicultural person who can teach proper Japanese language (formal and informal)as well as idioms and slangs.

I was an instructor of English communication for Tokyo Metropolitan high schools and also taught business English to corporate clients for almost 15 years in Japan.

I am well versed in customs and culture of Japan and even teach Japanese songs for those interested in learning songs. The students not only learn how to sing, but will be able to learn Japanese idioms and espressions through songs - I play my own instruments such as guitar or piano to accompany songs.

My philosophy regarding teaching is that every lesson and learning experience must be fun and entertaining - and I will try my best to live up to my philosophy.
