I have taught over a dozen quarters of organic chemistry
lab at the University of Washington during the course of my graduate education. I also have eight years of experience doing top-level research chemistry
in some of the finest institutions.
Most of my experience is in organic synthesis and pharmaceutical chemistry, but also inorganic synthesis: working on a project to store hydrogen for the hydrogen car. I have published work in the Journal of the American Chemical Society.
My academic knowledge is deep in human biology
and reaches to the furthest extent possible in chemistry. I have received many compliments on my teaching from the support staff at UW; they were continually surprised at the knowledge and composure exhibited by my students.
I am now half-way through a medical education at Bastyr University, studying to become a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine. I am sociable and a good person.
In teaching, I start by developing an understanding of the fundamental concepts and build knowledge off of this foundation. Problem solving is much easier thinking through the principals involved, rather than through the memorization of formulas along with their application.
I also council on test-taking strategies, and assist with personal/professional development. I am understanding, easy-going, and difficult to frustrate.
Since I'm in school, I can also meet at places in the Kenmore area.
